About the Show//
Patrick is an amazing artist and great friend of ours and has been a part of Flock Shop since it's inception in 2007.
Patrick will be showing limited edition prints from his first solo show at Culturefix in New York. These pieces are based on an unpublished short story.
“ The Archipelago” ; the story and the place, are a shortfall parading as a windfall. As each of the six (seven) islands that describe its substance move to prevent The Forgetting, a widespread cancellation of memory, they, and you, the sojourning reader, shift through shape, time, and the shadows of understanding, accompanied only by a giant cormorant, his gentlemanly wing, and a small leather portfolio filled with broken letters and pieces of history undone. You bear the secret hope that artifact and exploration are adequate reparations for this loosely associated string of coral and sand. While mining the reminiscences of spider-limbed fishermen, a convent of austere and mysterious nuns, riddling sea serpents, and the flagging love sought after by a seafaring Baron on his great ship, the Vernaculus, The Forgetting takes hold of you and opens the doorway to the fate of the people–and the memory–of the Archipelago.

Chantal deFelice is an illustrator focused on visually recreating neighborhoods with a sense of nostalgia, who believes in turning her drawings and paintings into accessible hand-made mementos, such as jewelry, prints, and three dimensional sculptures.
She has a BFA in Illustration from Laguna College of Art and Design, works out of Orange County and travels for inspiration as much as her independent artists' budget will allow.
Chantal will be featuring original paintings, prints, notecards, earrings, textiles and more.

Joey Chou, an alumni and graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, was born in Taiwan and moved to the U.S. when he was 15. His art reflects influences by prominent and obscure artists as well as influences by the Southern California lifestyle and culture.
Joey's latest accomplishment was illustrating Disney's "It's a Small World" book, due to release this August.
Joey currently works for Nickelodeon doing character development and is currently working on Kung Fu Panda the t.v. series.
